I've been extremely blessed to be on my Creative Teams. The designers are super and their kits and elements are fantastic to work with so I've been having fun creating layouts and showing off their stuff.
We are going to have a quiet New Year's eve. I expect to spend some time on my computer with the New Year's Eve chat at www.scrapbookgraphics.com so I can chat about more scrapping stuff. Go figure. It's not like I don't do that almost all day long.
I hope you all have a very prosperous New Year!

I'm going to be cooking dinner on Christmas and hosting 8 other people, so we'll have 10 around the table. It's going to be so nice. Our daughter and son-in-law, neighbors and friends.
And we played golf today. DH got a 30 on the par 27 course and I finished with a 41; but I did get a birdie on hole 8, so I'm happy. Maybe in 2008 I can play a few more times and get the hang of this golf thing.

Now I have to go grocery shopping. We are having 10 people for Christmas dinner. I'm serving a spiral cut ham, potato salad and peas. We'll also have wine and coffee and a wonderful cheesecake for dessert (the neighbors are bringing that one!). It is going to be so nice to have a crowd here in my small home; but fun. Oh yes, I'll have to do some "cleaning up" on Saturday. That's not really a big job, it's just putting things back in their place.

The weather here has finally cooled off and it is starting to feel like Christmas; and I guess that's a good thing. I've gotten almost all of my shopping done, so just a few more presents to buy. The envelopes are addressed and I just have to print out a few more cards. I made them myself this year and they did turn out beautifully.
I hope you are starting to get in the spirit of the Season!

It feels really good to be almost done this far before Christmas! Now I have to set time aside tomorrow to do our cards and mail them. We did get our Holiday stamps when we went to the post office today, so that's something.

I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF (Pay it forward) exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise!
The only thing you have to do in return is to pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog. So basically, if you’re one of the first 3 comments, I’ll send you something crafty that I’ll make! Once you sign up, copy and paste the above paragraph on your blog, and three other lucky people will be recipients of your handmade work.
Please leave your email addy so I can contact you to get your address!

Oh well, I guess you might call my header "minimalist" for now.

If you can't guess, my essay was, "Say WOW! when you see a bus".
And everything is by me and my software - Adobe PSE 5.0. It has so many wonderful "things" like bevels and drop shadows and inner glows. The font I used was MS Sans Serif.
Now I have to wait and see if it's accepted by the publisher to be included in Patti Digh's book.
And I must also say that I had so much fun creating the card. I definitely learned a lot.

We'll be doing the usual big dinner and watching the football games and just having a wonderful family day today.
I got great news the other day. Patti, who does the 37 days blog asked for people to volunteer to do 37 day challenge cards. I sent a note and said I would love to do one, and so that's what I'm working on. I'll show you my challenge card when it's done.
Of course, I don't know if it will be chosen to go in the book; but I'm having a ball designing and creating the elements for the card.
I hope you all have a great day with your families today.

since I've blogged - you know, of course, that our team did not win the amazing digiscrapping race. Oh well, perhaps we will win next year.
There is a monthly color challenge at DSO and we can either create a layout with the designated color chips or we can create a minikit. I chose to create "Autumn Sparkles Minikit" with this months' colors.
And here is the link at 4-shared for you. Please do not be a pirate!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope I can remember to blog more often.

And I found a site for getting your pirate NAME -
My pirate name is:
Red Morgan Rackham
Passion is a big part of your life, which makes sense for a pirate. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!
Get your own pirate name from piratequiz.com.

I hope I can do some designing; and if so, I'll definitely post some free*bies. But don't hold your breath.
You are Superman
|You are mild-mannered, good,|
strong and you love to help others.

Melissa Daniel created this new kit with these luscious silky colors. I love it! And what's more, she has a coordinating freebie on her Melissa Daniel Designs Blog, so go on over and pick that up.
Melissa is now an exclusive designer for Divine Digital, so take a look at her store, also.

This is my very first minikit; created with thanks to Atomic Cupcake for the actions.
The kit's name is SOFTLY and it includes 6 patterned papers, 3 frames, 2 arrows, 1 tag, 1 ribbon and 1 paperclip.
It's for your personal use only. Please do not share the link - that's piracy! Please send people here to my blog to get the link to the minikit. Thank you!!! And if you leave comments, please remember that this is my very FIRST minikit. I created it for the DSO.org color challenge.
I didn't realize how difficult it would be to come up with a theme and then the time to create the patterns for the papers. I hope you like it.

I just had to do a layout about them! Our neighbors actually buy these "ugly ducklings"; raise them for a while, then set them free in a pond near their home.
They are hilarious to watch; but they sure are dirty!
For this layout, I used Melissa Daniel's Summertime kit available at DivineDigital.com along with the photo from Ron C. with the Penguin Attack font from Dafont.com. My software is PSE 5.0
I sure hope you like the layout.

It seems that everyone I know is blogging, so I decided to mumble along with them and you all get to mumble right back at me if you want to.
Anyway, today is the start of my "mizamigo's mumblings" blog. I figured it would be a great place to post my CT layouts.
Until next time.
